Mount Horeb MAF Makes a Difference !
Dear friend of the Masonic Angel Fund,
Over the weekend, the Foundation received some correspondence from Jim St. Pierre of the Mount Horeb Lodge Masonic Angel Fund in Dennis, MA. He wanted to share some feedback from the school nurse (and a parent) on a recent benevolence.
Excerpt from the Nurse's letter: "Again, the Masonic Angels reach out to another child in need. Our children are fortunate to benefit from the charitable contributions of your organization. Children our our most precious resource and your investment in them makes a lasting impression on their lives and our world. Your work is extremely powerful. [Francine Searles, RN] P.S. The Masons are awesome!"
Excerpt from the [anonymous] parent's letter: "...you made one litter girl very happy. Kayla picked our her own outfits at Marshall's. She is so very proud of her accomplishment. The outfits are very special because they came from a very special "Angel". [anonymous parent "J"]
Many of you will recall the long history of good work by the Mount Horeb Masonic Angel Fund. Mount Horeb was the first Lodge to adopt a Masonic Angel Fund when we began licensing the program in 2000. Jim St. Pierre remains "married" to the MAF program and exemplifies the ideal of school outreach. Recently, two apartment complex fires on the same night left over fifty families homeless. Jim was at the school to offer help almost literally before the fire was out!
The Mount Horeb Lodge Masonic Angel Fund and Jim St. Pierre are excellent examples of "Masons who make a difference".
Regards to all,
Masonic Angel Foundation, Inc.
P.S. Remember to send us your "making a difference" anecdotes so we can share them with the rest of the MAF community.
